In 2014, Shell signed a three-year agreement with Hyundai Motorsport to become the Title Sponsor and Technical Partner of the Hyundai Shell World Rally Team in the World Rally Championship (WRC).

Known as one of the most demanding motorsport series globally, the WRC pushes vehicles to their limits across gravel, asphalt, ice, and snow—often in extreme temperatures ranging from -30°C to +40°C.
